In the early morning of May 30, my country’s Xichang Satellite Launch Center successfully launched two satellites using the Long March 11 solid launch vehicle.
This is the first time that the Xichang Satellite Launch Center has carried out a solid carrier rocket launch mission, and it is also the first launch of China Aerospace after the successful closing of the two sessions of the National Congress.
"This mission has greatly improved the center's satellite launch rapid networking and patching capabilities, and laid the foundation for satisfactorily meeting the needs of emergency launches such as natural disasters and emergencies." said Dong Chongqing, secretary of the party committee of the Xichang Satellite Launch Center.
The Long March 11 solid launch vehicle is currently the only type of launch vehicle in my country that can be launched by land and sea. It made its first flight at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in September 2015, and the sea launch was successful in June 2019.
In order to successfully complete this task, Xichang Satellite Launch Center solidly promoted the preparation of various tasks under the premise of normalization of epidemic prevention and control, organized and carried out the transformation of conditions such as factory gates, gantry cranes, bridges and roads, and carried out comprehensive and in-depth quality review and rectification. More than 160 hidden troubles and weak links were found, and more than 330 rectification measures were formulated to ensure the successful launch mission.
