The Last Satellite Of Beidou Global System Will Be Launched In June This Year

This afternoon, at the first “Committee Passage” of the Third Session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee, Yang Changfeng, member of the CPPCC National Committee and chief designer of China Beidou Satellite Navigation System Engineering, said that this year is the final year of Beidou global system construction The networking satellites have arrived at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, and various preparations are being carried out in an orderly manner, and will be launched at an opportunity in June this year. By then, the deployment of the Beidou Global Constellation will be successfully completed.

Yang Changfeng introduced that the Beidou system is the largest space system with the largest scale, the widest coverage and the highest performance requirements in China so far, and has contributed to the development of the world’s satellite navigation. In particular, the construction of the Beidou global system has achieved a high-density launch network of 17 stars, 17 carriers, and 29 stars in two years.

The Chinese Beidou system has been widely used in various industries such as transportation, disaster reduction and relief, and has also played an active role in the prevention and control of this outbreak. For example, more than 70% of smartphones connected to the Internet in China already provide Beidou services.
