The First Satellite Off The Production Line

China's first small satellite intelligent production line rolled off the production line of the National Space Industry Base Satellite Industrial Park on Wednesday.This marks that China will soon enter the stage of mass production of small satellites.

The satellite off the production line was independently developed by China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, which is a typical satellite for mass production.The satellite is composed of seven sub-systems: structure and mechanism subsystem, thermal control subsystem, power supply and distribution subsystem, attitude and orbit control subsystem, integrated electronic subsystem, engineering measurement and control subsystem and payload subsystem.

According to the relevant person in charge of aerospace science and space engineering development co., LTD., the satellite by parts outbound, outfit, assembly of components and the whole star electric logging, thermal control implementation, precision, solar wing on the installation and testing, quality, vibration measurement, thermal vacuum leak detection, the storing process, on the satellite intelligent production line complete assembly integration testing, realize the finished product referrals,The feasibility of the satellite intelligent production line is verified effectively.

It is reported that the intelligent production line of the satellite was started in 2019 and is now ready for official operation.It has the characteristics of "flexible intelligence, digital twin, cloud manufacturing" and so on. By adopting advanced intelligent manufacturing technology, it can realize accurate perception of the production process, real-time quality control of key processes, data acquisition and control of the whole manufacturing process, etc.

Based on intelligent manufacturing, the small satellite intelligent production line can increase the production efficiency of small satellites by more than 40%, reduce the demand of single star space area by more than 70%, shorten the production cycle of single star by more than 80%, and increase the production efficiency of personnel by more than 10 times, which can meet the annual output of 240 small satellites of less than 1 ton for assembly and integration testing.
