Precise measurement of borehole trajectories in coal mines is a core technological aspect of gas extraction, water hazard control, geological exploration, directional drilling, and intelligent mining. Traditional measurement methods are susceptible to interference from underground magnetic fields, involve cumbersome wiring, suffer from data lag, and are difficult to correct deviations in real time. This can easily lead to problems such as borehole deviation, missed extraction, and spurious drilling, which seriously affect construction quality and production safety.
The ER-GyroTracker-21 is a dual-system (gyroscope + fluxgate) trajectory surveying device for mining, consisting of an ultra-small diameter probe (Φ24.75mm) and a mining-specific smartphone. The probe incorporates a MEMS gyroscope and fluxgate dual-directional module, supporting both true north and magnetic north output modes. It simultaneously measures the borehole trajectory and depth while drilling, generating trajectory maps and quality assessments on-site without manual intervention, thus preventing false drilling and empty drilling from the outset.
Core Technological Advantages
Dual System Unaffected by Magnetic Field Interference: The gyroscope + fluxgate design allows switching to gyroscope mode without tripping the drill string when encountering magnetic field interference, saving time; the dual systems act as backups for each other during high-precision measurements, reducing errors.
MEMS Strapdown Inertial Navigation System: Unaffected by magnetic fields, it provides stable and accurate measurements even in complex downhole environments.
Automatic Depth Measurement, Anti-False Drilling: Supports simultaneous depth measurement via mobile phone and drilling rig or independent depth measurement via probe, requiring no manual intervention and technically eliminating false reporting of drilling footage.
Dual Mode for Drilling/Retesting: Enables real-time measurement during drilling and handheld retesting via push rod after hole formation, offering multiple uses in one device.
Wireless Transmission, Ultra-Small Diameter: Bluetooth communication eliminates cable constraints; the 24.75mm probe is compatible with various drill pipes from Φ42mm to Φ73mm.
Typical Coal Mine Application Scenarios:
Gas Drainage Borehole Trajectory Detection: Real-time monitoring of the actual trajectory of a group of boreholes; timely replacement of boreholes with excessive deviations to avoid drainage gaps.
Directional Drilling and Straight-line Drilling: Providing accurate azimuth angles in areas with severe magnetic interference to assist in directional drilling control and straightness verification.
Real-time directional drilling accuracy detection: Precisely recording curvature changes in the directional drilling section to quantitatively verify the performance of the directional drilling tool.
Accurate Borehole Depth Acceptance: Dual depth measurements cross-check to create an unalterable depth record for settlement by drilling footage and project management.
Analysis Software Functions: The software supports centralized management of borehole clusters, allows free switching between 3D and 2D trajectory display, and provides linked analysis of measurement point data and curves, with automatic calculation of deviations. Results can be directly exported to Excel or CAD, and standardized Word reports can be generated with one click, offering convenient operation.
