DTG logging principle

The core component of the DTG logging technology is an inertial measurement component that includes a power tuning rate gyro and two quartz accelerometers. The power tuning rate gyroscope measures the angular rate component of the Earth's rotation; the quartz accelerometer measures the Earth's gravitational acceleration component. The measured signal is sent to the surface logging system through a single-core cable through acquisition and coding. After computer decompilation, the parameters such as the inclination angle, azimuth angle and tool face angle of the wellbore can be obtained. Further calculations can be used to determine the vertical depth, north-south offset, Things offset, closed azimuth and other parameters. By measuring the depth of the wellbore, the wellbore trajectory can be derived.
