- Based on the world’s latest MEMS gyro technology
- Operating temperature up to 150°C
- Azimuthaccuracy up to 0.25° (1σ)
- Fast alignment in 180 seconds even under slight vibration
- Compact size: diameter 25.4 mm, length 136.8 mm, weight 300 g
- Easy to integrate into MWD, well completionsystem, single/multi-shot, north-seeking and orientation systems
- Widely used in oil & gas, mining, geophysics, HDD and other fields

For downhole orientation, temperature and accuracy define what’s measurable. The ER-Gyro-29 pushes both limits at the same time — and does it without relying on Earth’s magnetic field.
- Temperature breakthrough: 125°C → 150°C
A 25°C increase may not sound like much, but downhole it’s the difference between stopping and continuing. More sections in deep wells, geothermal wells and unconventional oil & gas wells are now within reach. The B and C models support continuous, stable operation at 150°C.
- Accuracy breakthrough: 0.5° → 0.25°
Azimuth accuracy is doubled, with 0.1° inclination alignment accuracy for tighter trajectory control. For extended-reach wells and dense well patterns where angular deviation is critical, you gain a real edge.
- Zero magnetic dependency
Using triaxial navigation-grade MEMS gyroscopes and accelerometers in an IMU, the ER-Gyro-29 does not rely on geomagnetic measurement. In casing window sidetracking, strong magnetic interference sections and offshore dense well patterns — where magnetic instruments fail — it keeps outputting azimuth, inclination and toolface angles. With 180-second alignment and 20-minute accuracy hold, continuous MWD is uninterrupted.
