The large passenger aircraft is considered to be the jewel in the crown of modern industry, and it is a concentrated expression of a country's industrial and technological level. On February 9, 2006, the “National Medium- and Long-Term Science and Technology Development Plan (2006-2020)” promulgated by the State Council, large-scale aircraft was identified as one of the 16 major projects that strive to achieve breakthroughs.
In May 2008, China Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd. was established as the main body of the large and medium-sized passenger aircraft project for the implementation of the national large-scale aircraft. In January 2009, COMAC officially released the first single-channel conventional layout 150-seat large passenger aircraft model code "COMAC919", referred to as "C919".
For more than 10 years, the implementation of the C919 large passenger aircraft project has gradually shown its role in transforming the mode of economic growth and promoting the development of science and technology.
