An inertial navigation system is a kind of predictive navigation method. That is, from the position of a known point, the position of the next point is deduced from the continuously measured carrier heading angle and speed, so that the current position of the moving body can be continuously measured. The gyroscope in the inertial navigation system is used to form a navigation coordinate system to stabilize the measurement axis of the accelerometer in this coordinate system and give the heading and attitude angle; the accelerometer is used to measure the acceleration of the moving body through one time integration of the time Speed, speed, and then through the integration of time to get the distance.

Inertial navigation systems usually consist of inertial measurement devices, computers, control displays, and the like. Inertial measurement devices include accelerometers and gyroscopes, also known as inertial navigation combinations. The three-degree-of-freedom gyroscope is used to measure the three rotational motions of the aircraft; three accelerometers are used to measure the acceleration of the three translational motions of the aircraft. The computer calculates the speed and position data of the aircraft based on the measured acceleration signals. The control display shows various navigation parameters and functions.
