Gyro Theodolite

Gyro theodolite is a type of theodolite with a gyroscope for measuring the true azimuth of a line. One of its key devices is the gyroscope, referred to as gyro, also known as the gyroscope.

The gyro theodolite is mainly composed of a high-speed rotating rotor supported on one or two frames. A two-degree-of-freedom gyroscope with a frame; A 3-dof gyroscope with two internal and external frames. The hanging gyroscope is installed on the theodolite, which is used to determine the north direction of the true meridian by using its pointing northness, and then the horizontal Angle between the north direction of the true meridian and the undetermined direction is determined by the theodolite, that is, the true azimuth. Refers to the north, refers to the suspension under the influence of gravity and the earth rotation angular velocity, the gyro axis will produce precession, gradually close to the true subsurface, and finally to the true subsurface as the center of symmetry, Angle harmonic motion characteristics. The meridian method and reversal point method are commonly used to determine the north direction of the true meridian.
Mainly used in tunnel construction measurement, as well as shield tunneling in the horizontal and true north direction measurement, can greatly compensate for the loss of precision caused by the wire is too long.
