China's BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) is a global Satellite Navigation System developed by China itself.It is the third mature satellite navigation system after the global positioning system (GPS) of the United States and the GLONASS satellite navigation system of Russia.The beidou satellite navigation system (BDS), along with GPS of the United States, GLONASS of Russia and GALILEO of the European Union, is a supplier recognized by the United Nations satellite navigation committee.
Beidou satellite navigation system by air plane section, the ground and the user of three parts, can be all-weather and all day on a global scale for all kinds of users to provide high precision, high reliable positioning, navigation and timing services, and short message communication ability, has preliminary area navigation, positioning and timing ability, positioning accuracy of 10 meters, velocity accuracy of 0.2 m/s, timing accuracy of 10 nanoseconds.
On September 19, 2018, the long March 3b carrier rocket (and the upper class of yuanzheng 1) was used at xichang satellite launch center to successfully launch 37 and 38 beidou navigation satellites in the form of "one arrow and two stars".On October 15, the xichang satellite launch center successfully launched 39 or 40 beidou navigation satellites using the long March 3b carrier rocket and the upper stage of the yuanzheng 1 in the "one arrow and two stars" mode.The 41st beidou navigation satellite was successfully launched by a long march-3b carrier rocket from xichang satellite launch center on November 1.On November 19, the xichang satellite launch center successfully launched 42 and 43 beidou navigation satellites using the long March 3b carrier rocket (and the upper stage of the yuanzheng 1) in the "one arrow and two stars" mode.
The construction of the beidou iii basic system was completed and global services were provided on December 26, 2018.This marks that the service scope of beidou system has been expanded from regional to global, and beidou system has officially entered the global era
