Basic Classification of Wireless Measurement While Drilling Instruments

The MWD Wireless Drilling Inclinometer is a new type of measurement while drilling instrument developed on the basis of a wired Drilling Inclinometer. The main difference between it and the wired while-drilling inclinometer is that the downhole measurement data is transmitted wirelessly. The wireless MWD is divided into four types: mud pulse, electromagnetic wave, acoustic wave and optical fiber according to the transmission channel. Among them, the mud pulse and electromagnetic wave mode have been applied to the production practice, and the mud pulse type is the most widely used.
