The Difference between LWD and MWD

LWD is an abbreviation of "Log While Drilling" in English. The first is to conduct resistivity measurements, followed by neutrons, density, and so on. The difference is different from the parameters obtained.

MWD is mainly measured while drilling. Measurement of well orientation, well inclination, tool surface (magnetism, gravity), drilling guidance.

LWD also measures resistivity, well gamma, well pressure, porosity, density, etc., over the well's azimuth, well inclination, and tool surface. It can replace current wireline logging.
