Inertial Navigation System Theory

Inertial navigation systems (INS) includes three gyroscopes and three accelerometers. Through gyroscope and accelerometer measurement data, the movement of vector in the inertial reference coordinate system can be determined, at the same time also can calculate the shipment carrier in the positions of the inertial reference coordinate system.

It is different from other typIes of navigation systems, inertial navigation system is completely autonomously. It does not launch signal to outside, also do not receive signals from outside. Inertial navigation system must accurately know the position of the carrier in the navigation starting fortunes, inertial measurement value is used to estimate the location of the changes that take place after the launch.
